If you could perhaps point out that, ah, sometimes his brother has schemes he can't undo so he navigates them as best he can, but then other times he can't help them once they're set in motion and all that is left is to regret the outcome .... And maybe Loki does awful things, truly, but he didn't mean to once he realised what he was doing in hindsight and would rather have not have, you know, because ... because he's not the type to expect forgiveness, just an ear to hear him out, he knows what he did was very wrong ...
