the bad news is that we left a closet door open when qiri was in the house, and he got his little teeth into your cloak and dragged it out. it looks like he chewed or ripped into a good portion of it with his claws
[What belongings they have with them from home are important, at least to Bryn's way of thinking. She's not certain how much attachment he has to it, but it seems better to err on the safe side that he feels the same.]
the good news is that i eventually got it away from him and there's enough left that we can hem the ruined portion off of it and turn it into a capelet instead, or some sort of sarong for me.
[The dog is getting put out in the yard, in the fenced in space set aside specifically for it. The worst Qiri can do there is dig up the grass or chew his toys into pieces, which is what they're made for anyway.
It's a bit before the ten minute mark that Bryn arrives with the remains of Thor's cloak draped over one arm.]

Give me the bad news, because I am assuming it's just slightly less good than the good news.

Perhaps it would be better to rebirth it into something nice for you. I'd look ridiculous in a capelet. Like an overgrown child.
rip thor's cloak
maybe i'll just trim the bad parts off and we can figure out what to do with it later.
i'm sorry my dog ate your cape but i'll absolutely make it up to you. whatever you want, you got it.
hahaha rip literally tho
[he's joking, mostly.]
Besides, it's a nice relic from home but I was starting to wonder if a cape was a bit too on the nose.
But let's put that aside, whatever I want is a dangerous guarantee.
fjdskal; oh god
[They are not a couple that needs to track relationship milestones, so she is joking as well. Mostly. Please help her take the dog on walks.]
the cape was flattering and eye-catching but definitely one of a kind around here
are you saying i can't trust you, thor? i'm relying on the fact that you sleep like a log next to me to keep you in line

Maybe we should meet face to face to discuss the ins and outs of this.
Kitchen, washroom or lounge room?
