🦋 IC Information
Character Name: Thor Odinson
Age: 1000
Canon: MCU
Canon Point: Thor: Love and Thunder, before retiring from the Guardians.
Character History: MCU fandom wiki
Canon Abilities:
Skills:
• He's a battle experienced combatant with some tactical skills and skill with a variety of weapons.
• He's had a formal, royal education that involved becoming multilingual in some lesser known languages.
Superpowers:
•Asgardian Physiology
Asgardians are essentially "gods". They live long (well past 1000s), they have super strength, super speed and heightened endurance/durability. He can take a beating. They also have regenerative healing and heal much faster from wounds than humans. He can survive without oxygen in space and has at least some resistance to heat as his skin and bones have a higher density than that of a human. Bullets, blasts and powerful forceful blows rarely fully impede him.
Even for an Asgardian, Thor is particularly physically strong to the extent that he is a notably fearsome warrior on a planet of warriors and allegedly the third strongest (after Hela and Odin but they're both dead SOOO). His strength is such that he can mow down multiple attacking enemies at once and can crush large or seemingly durable objects. Since he primarily fights with a hammer or axe, he has a powerful swing that can crush the skulls of huge monsters.
His speed is heightened enough that he appears to visibly when viewed by Quicksilver, (who is inhumanely fast and has accelerated perception) while Thor's teammates seem to be frozen in comparison. His stamina is such that he can keep this up for great lengths without rest, offering encouragement to teammates who start to feel exhaustion.
•Lighting
Thor has the innate ability to generate, control and project electrical energy, with him (hence "God of Thunder"). This works effectively when he has something like Mjolnir or Stormbreaker (a focus) to channel his power through. Although he previously required a weapon to channel through, this is no longer the case. His lightning is powerful enough to stun Hulk and crack the Rainbow Bridge in Asgard.
His power seems to increase with Stormbreaker, now able to knock back powerful figures like Thanos with lightning blasts.
•Storm Manipulation
He has been shown to summon storms and often rain and thunder is a sign of his approach. He can control where rain falls to some extent ie; he can create an invisible umbrella over himself. It seems tethered to his emotions in a way that suggests he doesn't fully have control ie; storm clouds and thunder can appear when he is particularly distressed or angry.
•Stormbreaker:
Storm breaker is an enchanted axe. It is connected to Thor in a similar fashion to Mjolnir, it can be summoned to his hand and seems to have similar rules around who can wield it. However, it doesn't seem as strict as worthiness and may come down to mortality.
Stormbreaker also has teleportation powers. It has the powers of the bi-frost, which allows instantaneous travel anywhere in the Nine Realms.

🦋 Personality
Option 1: Answer the following questions. Elaborate on the answer, especially your characters thoughts and feelings surrounding the answer. For Canon Characters, you can choose four questions. For Original Characters, you will need to choose six questions. Keep the word count to 150-400 per question.
- What song would a siren sing to your character to lure them closer? Why?
- If there's one person your character would follow to another realm, who would it be and why? If there's no one, state that and explain why.
- If you'd like pixies to change one event in your character's life, what would it be and why?
- What is your character's most outstanding personality trait, and why?
It is tempting to say a pop song from Earth that reminds him of his human ex-girlfriend, Jane Foster, but I don't have a canon example. Therefore, I think the most effective song would be an Asgardian Lullaby and it would work particularly well if it was sung in his Mother's voice. Not only has Thor lost his mother, Frigga, who he loved dearly. He has also lost his father, his brother, many of his friends and many Asgardians. Asgard itself was destroyed at the end of Thor 3, meaning Thor lost the whom he grew up in and the majority of any keepsakes or momentos like paintings or tapestries of his family.
At Thor's canon point, he has handed the reins of New Asgard over to Valkyrie because he's lost and in a tremendous amount of pain. He would be very susceptible to things that remind him of Asgard and his family, particularly songs associated with his childhood and happy memories of his family. Arguably since Thor 1, Thor has been struggling with the breakdown of his family following his banishment and Loki's crisis and abandonment of the family.
Despite numerous betrayals by Loki, Thor would be extremely likely to follow him from realm to realm. He deeply misses his brother and by Infinity War, he and Loki had grown closer again and he was devastated to watch him die (albeit proud that he died a hero's death). Although Thor mourns a lot of people, Loki has a particular hold on his heart and he'll always feel like there is unfinished business between them and that Loki deserved a longer, fuller life on a better path.
In fact, Loki's propensity for magic and tricks is party of why Thor is likely to follow him. Thor would highly suspect that it's something meaningful and part of his greater purpose to follow him. Granted, travelling from realm to realm and even being stuck in foreign realms is something Thor has experienced more than the average person. As damaged as his trust in Loki is at times, he'd be more interested in the rewards of following him and he'll deal with the consequences.
Purely from a place of empathy and not from a story-telling perspective, having Thor kill Thanos before he eliminated half the population of the universe would change so much for Thor. Immediately prior to the events of Infinity War, Thor already experienced tremendous loss and was suffering from unprocessed grief.
The shame and humiliation he felt following his "failure" did not serve his character well. This was not improved by the strange choice to make Thor's slide into depression after finally killing Thanos a humorous thing in the movie. It was difficult to watch a depressed character receive very little genuine empathy.
Thor was on the trajectory of facing his problems, taking responsibility and being present and reliable for the people of Asgard (immediately after Asgard was blown up and the refugees moved to Earth). Somewhere between losing Loki, failing to kill Thanos, killing Thanos and helping to bring back the population impacted by the snap he decided to pull away and run away with the guardians and leave it all behind again. It felt like he had been brought back to square one and went on a journey the audience had already seen.
Thor's most outstanding personality trait is his resilience. Since the first Thor movie, Thor has undergone tremendous loss in his life, fought many battles and still had the time to be introspective, self-analytical, learn from his mistakes and work on himself.
Thor started his arc as a reckless, violent and selfish person and has grown into someone who is deeply empathetic and kind as well as someone who thinks things through, seeks help and advice and weighs his options. He has become someone who listens, learns and wants to see the good in people.
Despite all the loss and sadness in his life, Thor is resilient enough to stay kind and open his heart to people. Thor still remains fairly optimistic and brave and has a genuine willingness to continue to work on himself in various ways (even if sometimes that means stepping away from his destiny and doing side quests). Thor's spirit is pretty much strongest part of him.

🦋 In Character
Physical Affection: Thor is very warm and affectionate and is likely to reciprocate or initiate affection.
Physical Violence: Thor is also not afraid to throw down if he's pushed far enough. He's liable to hold off as best he can and hold back if he's not sure he can be matched.
Relationships: Thor is currently sad, lonely and single and is definitely open for casual romance or serious relationships. He's pretty romantic.
NPC Interaction: Yep!
Psychic & Psionic Information: Thor is tougher than a regular person to mentally infiltrate but he is still susceptible to psychic powers. It pisses him off though.
Magical Information: Thor doesn't consider himself a magic-user but probably would be considered magic by others. Thor is historically Not Good at assessing whether something is magic or not.
Medical Information: N/A
Offensive Subjects & Triggers Associated with This Character: elements of child neglect in his backstory, depression, trauma, death in the family and he has lost and gained weight but I don't really care to mention it.

[To say it's been a long week would be some kind of massive understatement. It's been a very long week. It's been the worst week. Things probably couldn't get worse, but Thor felt that way before he knew that things could go downhill so quickly.
Thor feels a mixture of things most days. He ranges from angry to sad. He feels lonely, he feels tired and drained. His heart aches, his body hurts and although he dearly wants to rest he can't close his eyes without hearing screams and cries and watching the last few memories of his life over and over.
He should have aimed for the head.
He doesn't find solace in much. Much except Mantis. Her mood must be as low as his, but her manner is far more gentle. Thor finds he can force a smile for her, and soon he finds he doesn't really need to force it when he's around her. He knows it's inappropriate, but he's tired and lonely and desperate to feel the faint, fragile warmth she instills in him.
He knows she can make him sleep and he knows he'll sleep better with someone near him. He tries to ignore the fact that it's the company he wants more than the rest.
They're all stowed away in the spaces Wakanda can provide, but with just enough privacy to have a room to themselves. He knows where her room is and he finds himself walking toward it, guided by his impulses.
His hand raps gently on her door and he calls out in a low voice.]
